# Manage Organization Notifications

*This topic covers organization-level notifications that are sent to an integration or plug-in. If you are looking for email notifications, see* [*Manage Email Notifications*](/workbench-setup/notifications/manage-email-notifications.md)*.*

{% hint style="info" %}

* All organization notifications are viewed and edited on the Notifications tab in [Organization Settings](https://workbench.expel.io/settings/organizations).
* For more information about notifications, including a list of organization notifications enabled by default, see [About Notifications](/workbench-setup/notifications/about-notifications.md).
  {% endhint %}

Workbench uses organization notifications to specify when to send requested data to an integration destination, and what the scope of the data should be. It is important to understand that an integration destination will not receive any data after setup (configured on the Integrations tab) until at least one organization notification is also created for that integration (configured on the Notifications tab).

## Prerequisites

1. You must have organization admin permissions in Workbench to set up notifications.
2. You must have already set up an integration for the [supported platform(s)](/workbench-setup/notifications/about-notifications.md#supported-platforms) you want to use, and any separate destinations you wish to have for that integration.

## Add an Organization Notification

{% hint style="warning" %}
You must have already [set up the integration(s)](/workbench-setup/notifications/about-notifications.md#supported-platforms) you want to use, and any separate destinations you wish to have for that integration, before you can add a notification.
{% endhint %}

1. [Log in to Workbench](https://workbench.expel.io/auth/login?orig=%2F).
2. In the side menu, navigate to **Settings > Organization Settings**. If you have multiple organizations, you must select the appropriate organization name from the list.
3. Select the **Notifications** tab.
4. Select **Add Notification**.
5. Complete the fields as follows:
   * **Conditions** - select an event, and then select an action; some events may also allow you to add one or more conditions.&#x20;
   * **Notify via** - select the name of the destination for your chosen integration (in this example, the integration is a webhook and the specific destination we created within that integration is called "Example Webhook").
   * Select **Save** to activate the notification.

{% hint style="info" %}
**For** [**ServiceNow**](/workbench-setup/notifications/platform-setup/servicenow-setup-for-organization-notifications.md#how-to-configure) **only:** There is a specific action of `has any state change` within organization notifications for the `Investigation` and `Incident` event types. When configuring notifications for this set of conditions, set the `notify via` destination to ServiceNow.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/NHKiPY5xd2C3Vf47uNo3" alt="Image showing example conditions, actions, and destination."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

6. Repeat this process for any additional notifications you wish to set up for your integration(s).

## Edit an Organization Notification

1. [Log in to Workbench](https://workbench.expel.io/auth/login?orig=%2F).
2. In the side menu, navigate to **Settings > Organization Settings**. If you have multiple organizations, you must select the appropriate organization name from the list.
3. Select the **Notifications** tab.
4. Select the **edit** icon for the notification you wish to edit.

5. Make changes to the conditions and destination as needed, then select **Save**.
6. Repeat this process for any additional notifications you wish to edit.

## Delete an Organization Notification

1. [Log in to Workbench](https://workbench.expel.io/auth/login?orig=%2F).
2. In the side menu, navigate to **Settings > Organization Settings**. If you have multiple organizations, you must select the appropriate organization name from the list.
3. Select the **Notifications** tab.
4. Select the **delete** icon for the notification you wish to delete.

<figure><img src="/files/CwMNdZLQxoUvVvuKs7cA" alt="Use the trashcan icon to delete the notification."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5. On the confirmation screen, select **Delete**.
6. Repeat this process for any additional notifications you wish to delete.

## Disable All Notifications for an Integration

Disabling an integration will also automatically disable all organization notifications for that integration.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
You might choose to disable at the integration-level if you wish to temporarily turn off all notifications for that integration (and do not want to manually delete those notifications, or disconnect and delete the integration completely).
{% endhint %}

1. [Log in to Workbench](https://support.expel.io/hc/en-us/articles/4484518380563-Manage-Organization-Notifications-for-Workbench#h_01JJADRWQ3JWHNPRNQBTQ370SW).
2. In the side menu, navigate to **Settings > Organization Settings**. If you have multiple organizations, you must select the appropriate organization name from the list.
3. Select the **Integrations** tab.
4. Locate the integration and use the arrow <img src="data:image/png;base64,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" alt="" data-size="line"> to open the menu, then select **Disable**.

<figure><img src="/files/h3vtOBN9zu4NnhYSe7w3" alt="Select disable from the menu that displays."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5. The integration is now disabled, and so are notifications. You can use the same arrow to re-enable the integration whenever you wish.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.expel.io/workbench-setup/notifications/manage-organization-notifications.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
